My name is Chris. I have a passion for the outdoors and enjoy climbing, mountaineering, cycling and long-distance running. This website documents some of the long distance runs I have undertaken in various parts of the world.

The purpose of these trips is not to set records – I am not particularly fast – but is my own way of experiencing adventure in places that challenge and interest me.

My idea of adventure isn’t necessarily fixed, but in these pages it is always centred on one thing – a self-supported long-distance journey, undertaken on foot, where I run as much as possible.

I try not to impose too many rules and restrictions on myself. I tend to run in mountainous areas with a small backpack containing ultralight camping gear, and you might call this “fast-packing”. But I don’t always run in the mountains and I don’t always camp. And sometimes, when the route permits, I run with a trailer. I’m not sure what you would call this. I’m not sure whether a label is important.

I tend to run anything between 25km and 60km per day with a daily average of 35-40km, and I find these distances allow me to keep it sustainable and enjoyable.

Please do get in touch if you’d like to. I’d love to hear from people who might be planning similar adventures.
